Today is the first day of "meteorological" spring here in the Chicago area. What that means is that we will see one day above freezing 32F this week. We also will see ice, sleet, freezing rain and snow on Tuesday. No self respecting daffodil will bloom here until at least mid April so I found these at a greenhouse!

---No self respecting daffodil will bloom here until at least mid April---

It's not a matter of self respect Kathy, but severe wintry conditions, lol.

Good that you've found an alternative in the greenhouse in order to give us a proper spring feeling. Well done and thanks!!

I'm from Albany, New York and they can't craw out of the snow. Yours has a longer way to go and looks pretty good from here. Shot very well taken.

Your daffodils are lovely and are radiating the color and warmth of the sun - very nice capture of this trio:-):-):-) I just bought a fresh bunch of daffodils this morning from my local florist - planning on using them in a still life. Nice work Kathy - spring can't come soon enough!!!:-):-):-)!!!

They have that pretty "indoor glow" Kathy :) Lovely colours and sharp focus on these beauties.

Lovely colours that certainly brighten up your monitor!
Also very apt, because in Wales, March the first is St David's Day and daffodils are an emblem of Wales.

Oh that sounds very cold and miserable weather. These bright blooms are a reminder of sunshine. The look very smug to be dray and warm inside :)

Kathy - Under the feet of snow here, the daffies are trying to push their way up, with little tips showing where snow has been cleared. I suppose that they will photograph well with the snow backdrop, as it will be quite a while before all of the snow melts away.
