We just finished the coldest February in weather history for the Chicago area hence the title of my image! Seriously, these are mini double campanula or bellflower. They are tiny plants that can be put in arrangements by florists.

I feel for you!
Wish I could send some Australian sunshine your way! These flowers must be pretty tough to survive and look so beautiful.

Kathy, I really hope that your local (Chicago area) 'natural freezer' soon will have a malfunction, lol.
Very nice one of the many campanula species. Have some campanula's in my garden as well (the persicifolia species). Think they'll bloom soon.

You were still luckier than those in the Boston area Kathy. I saw the pics on TV a couple of days ago. Unbelievable! Nice capture of these lovely small flowers

My grandparents were florists, and I have probably seen them use these pretty little flowers, but that was a long time ago. I can still see them working in their shop on the tables, but I can't recall all the flowers. It sure did smell good in there though. Beautiful image, Kathy.

I suspect those florist could arrange anything if given half a chance and if you're willing to pay. A great close up on these lovely little blooms, Kathy. Nice colours and a good DoF in the photo.
