A shot of one of my squirrel friends eyeing the bird food and nuts on my terrace. But alas there is no way to get unto my terrace as it too far a leap from the tree branch. I am posting a second image today as my first posting has been put in limbo by the moderators while they decide if I violated some rules, which I most assuredly did not! (I did have the squirrel's permission to photograph him - a simple nod of the head when he saw the camera pointing.)

He's a good looking squirrel - the squirrels in our area are just plain gray. If he could only figure out a way to get to your terrace for those goodies - so near and yet so far away!!! Nice capture Kathy - he posed for the camera!!!:-):-):-)!!!

Kathy, I share with you the opinion that you didn't have violated the COC-rules with respect to your previous image. You said in the narrative that you would do a walk with your mother. It could be that you should have told us that you had her permission to do so. I'm a retired seaman and have not the expertise of an image MOD, so think it's wise not to interfere further in the wise decision that they've taken.

Good that you've got the squirrel's permission for a photo shoot. If the squirrel is educated well (I've have my doubts about that, lol) it can give you a written permission in order to prevent further misunderstandings.

Thanks anyhow for this very fine and cute image.

It looks like a red/gray mixture Kathy. I like the sound of squirrel friend.
Can't imagine what the mods didn't like. They must be nuts. :)
Super shot. Magazine quality.

I am sure that your squirrel is just as intelligent asTHIS ONE, and will come up with a mathematical equation to make it to your terrace. lol. Excellent shot...and I can't see why your other image would not be accepted....no violations that I can see. (But what do I know?)

I missed the first one but I do hope they will allow it. I can't offer any opinion since I did not see it. This one however is cute kathy, it kind of looks like he has a small wound on his nose, very good details with this capture. tigs=^..^=

Nice clear shot of this unwitting subject, Kathy. It's difficult to keep the bird feeders filled when these little guys are around.

When I saw this...my first thought was the song 'Nut Bush City' by Tina Turner!...lol

It's certainly got all your attention...great details here too!

He is well protected against the cold weather with all that fur Kathy. Good that he cannot jump over. They may look cute but you don't want them coming too close. Cute shot!

I can tell by the look in her eyes that she is scheming of a way to get to the food. You my friend have made a frenemy of this squirrel. Glad I am not in your boots. A nice close up on the tree rodent, Kathy.
