Since they dyed the river in Chicago green today for the St. Patrick's day parade, I thought I would post some green flowers which are not dyed but naturally green. This flower is sometimes called Lenten rose.
Kathy, because of the green flowers, it's the subspecies 'orientalis' of a 'Helleborus orientalis'. Other subspecies are 'abchasius' (with purple pink/gray flowers) and 'guttatus' (red speckled white flowers).
Very proper choice for the 60th anniversary of the Chicago Patricks day parade today.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Believe it or not, but I can find Corned Beef here in Italy and I will make the traditional meal for St. Patrick's Day. Thanks for the reminder with this festive posting, Kathy.
Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
At first I thought you had found a five leaf clover. Then I noticed that the leaves weren't shaped quite right for a clover. Beautiful shot, and you get extra credit for going green. LOL.
