This is the valley on the island of Kauai where most of the taro is grown. I liked all the different tones in the fields. This is for Lyn's B&W challenge - I understand she needs more entries if you have any B&W's hanging around like I did.

A magnificent scene that lends itself perfectly to B/W. The Taro fields look like a patchwork quilt in shades of grey.

I thought this place, much like Shangri-La or the Bronx, was a mythical place born of the fevered dreams of explorers. A good perspective in the photo and nice depth in the scene, Kathy. Are the villagers peaceful?
