Another beautiful butterfly from the exhibit at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Also know as a green-banded peacock this butterfly is native to the Indian subcontinent including India, Nepal and Bhutan.
Lovely butterfly Kathy...Maybe a crop as the bottom of the picture is negative space..As it is it looks like the Butterfly is crawling out the frame..A nice picture all the same...R.
Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")
Those colours on the butterfly are marvelous. I agree with what Richie said but Then I also know that when you take a hurried snap shot you can't arrange it the way you would like. Good one Kathy.
What beautiful colors that has. I have never seen one like it at The Butterfly House, In Whitehouse, Ohio. Wonderful focus and lighting, Kathy. Excellent bokeh, also.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
