This spectacular waterlily was named after the director of the Missouri Botanical Gardens in 1941 when it was developed there. It is one of the darkest violet waterlilies. It is still extremely popular even 74 years later due to its outstanding color and growing vigor.

This is certainly a very unique waterlily in dark violet - the center is lovely as well - the colors resemble a small flame and the colors complement each other so well - Great Capture Kathy!!!:-):-):-)!!!
