Taken at the prairie site I visit each year. I've seen only a few monarchs this year. This one landed on some Milfoil(wild yarrow)for a drink.

This is very nice, I have seen more this year, than I did last year. Their crucial food source when they are in early stages is milkweed.

The last time I saw the Monarch was when she gave her annual Christmas day speech on the TV. It might have been New Year's, its been a while. We here in the Empire are required to watch it or she gets very cross and we have to go with no pudding that day. :-D
