This plant was a first for me - it's found on all continents except Africa and is a perennial related to roses. It is also known by the name avens. Blooms in mid-summer to early fall.

Kathy, this can be true, but I didn't know this species of a Geum, so I was curious to know more about it.
I've found this information.

Wonderful image with deep and warm orange tones.

Seen and captured very well again!

Have you personally scoured all four corners of Africa to be sure? A lovely photo of the flower, Kathy. Beautiful colours and lighting in the image.
