A bonus post today as I shuffle images around from summer to fall files. This was taken at the Chicago Botanic Garden in July. They were quite a spectacular lily and very deep, deep red.

And I thought my eyesight was bad. Did nobody have the heart to tell the person who named these that the blooms did not resemble a beloved horse of literature fame? Unless the horse in question fertilized them, then its understandable.
