This is a still life and sculpture of Edison at his desk in his Menlo Park NJ laboratories. Behind him are some of his well known inventions. This was so well done and on display in the atrium of a very large electronics store here in the Chicago suburbs. One for Wacky Wednesday.

Edison has long been one of my heroes, Kathy. This depicts him in his younger days when he literally got carried away with experiments (and, as he always was known to say, litigation against those who felt he was stealing their ideas). He spent very little time at his desk - was known to work long, long hours in a lab or warehouse experimenting, inventing, and patenting.

Edison was born in Milan, Ohio...about 30 miles from me. Here is his Birthplace. This is fantastic, Kathy. Excellent for WW, and an excellent shot.

Many years ago I visited The Thomas Edison Museum in Menlo Park, NJ. This is an excellent representation of some of the items that were on display. To be honest, before opening your image, I asked myself if they named a flower after Edison. lol.

Thomas Edison was a great inventor. He has many inventions to his name. For me the most eloquent invention was that he has taken the saying "let your little light shine' literally, and has realized.
Perfectly captured display Kathy.

Some would strongly argue over just how "inventive" he was. But he's not the first nor the last to conduct business in that way. A good capture of the scene, Kathy.

Edison is one of my heroes. Such an extraordinarily gifted inventor, and he is believed to have had ADHD. (I have it, too.) It would account for his creativity and tenacity. He never gave up till he found the answer. Thanks for this picture!
