Just barely hanging on. This is shot from the birch tree outside my terrace. We had a major snowstorm yesterday that was supposed to give us 4-7" but instead gave us 15"! When I took this it was at the height of the storm about noon yesterday and the winds were gusting to 40mph. I waited for a quieter moment and got this. It's hard to believe winter doesn't actually start for another month!

Love the nearly black and white contrasting with the red-brown of the leaves. Well composed with the leaves in one of the "sweet spots." Well done.

Nice shot withe red leaves clinging on Kathy. We had a snow storm today and it looked here just like in your photo but the difference is that tomorrow we expect +5 deg C and sunshine and the snow will be gone on a couple of days.

Kathy, they did making me believe that the average temperature on earth has inclined with 2 degrees Celsius because of air pollution reasons. When viewing this very fine image I have my doubts about that, because in my area a steady cold and stormy north wind is blowing too, which makes that the average temperature in November here had decreased with 3 degrees Celsius.
So no photo shoots here. I prefer 'suffering' from the cold in my heated computer room while enjoying your post at my screen, lol.

These birch leaves must be as shocked as you are, Kathy. We've had such a mild October and early November; cooler temps and snow were bound to arrive sooner or later. Nice to see you making the most of it with this artistic post. Fantastico!
