No,I haven't been to Italy but there is a section at the Chicago Botanic Garden that features flowers and plants from around the world. These were blooming recently. I thought Doug(mirto56) might recognize these from his neighborhood.

Very nice capture again, Kathy. Will they grow to edible strawberries? If so, yummy! Does already water my mouth, lol.

They appear to be singing O Sole Mio as they reach out for the sun. Unfortunately, I'm not up on fruit blossoms, though our strawberry season recently ended and they were delicious. Cherries are next up on the seasonal fruit list.

I recognize that as an Ipiccy border. The rest of the image is wonderful. I'm envious of the greens (or green with envy?), but the delicate white flowers came out well.

who would have thought? i figured a strawberry was a strawberry. im not one for knowing plant life very well...except the ones that get me in trouble, like poison ivy I KNOW THAT ONE! lovely shade of green with a splash of flower color mix makes for a great shot! you have some awesome clarity within as well. you do know your plants!

A nice capture of the strawberry blossoms, Kathy. We have them growing all over the place. Good details, colours and lighting in the photo.
