This is another shot from the Botanic Garden - shot from a bridge crossing over to Evening Island and shooting back to the aquatic gardens. This looks cooling to me which we in the USA need desperately as we are in a massive hot spell that is affecting 2/3 of the country. Our 4th day of mid 90's F. and the humidity levels have been in the 70% range making it feel a bit like the deep tropics. There is a cold front coming today which will trigger severe storms but hopefully break the heat wave.

In spite of the heat the lotus feels happy because it is a tropical flower. Nice shot of this beauty Kathy.

I love the angle of this one Kathy, lovely color, and very refreshing with the soft colors. Bring on the lower temps, and less humidity. Tigs=^..^=

A delightful shot, Kathy...the uplifted petals and cool green background do have an uplifting and refreshing feel...I too wish the weather would 'cool it' and give us some more comfortable temps.

That beautiful lotus does have the coolness factor going for it Kathy - we are experiencing an extended heat wave here in Jersey as well - Great Capture!!!!!!!!!

Well done. Beautiful airy lotus that has been watered and cared for. When it's 101 degrees, watering the garden is just about useless...everything just "cooks." lol But that's normal for here...whew! Your image, however, is very lovely and refreshing!
