I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

This splendid image with its magical tones deserves all kind of superlatives, Kathy. I don't mention these superlatives, to prevent that I won't be taken serious, but just 'Wowser' is an indication for what I've meant to say.

Beautiful colour.

And here, I am talking about the flower itself as well as the surrounding foreground/background.

The oranges, browny-greens of the leaves and hints of blue in the back.. make for a wonderfully pleasing visual palette.

Caveats?

I hope you don't mind what is to follow.. just some observations.

The center of the flower seems to be slightly soft, on the note of focus. As compared to, and for example.. the one leaf in the bottom left foreground.

Mind you, some of the petals are pretty sharp.. so.. not sure if this is just a case of perhaps your camera focusing somewhat inadvertently.

You may be aware of this, however, forging ahead..

For DSLRs: Focus and Recompose Technique

For 'point and shoot' cameras, as well as, DSLRs: Using Focus Lock on Your Autofocus Camera

I did download your image here and tried the following to see what could be achieved, on the note of the flower's center/anthers.

This is the method that was employed: Sharpen Images With The High Pass Filter In Photoshop

Maybe time and opportunity permitting, give it a try yourself? For comparative purposes?

That said..

Composition is good good.

This is one of those images in the New Images galleries that brought me in for a closer look, so, mission accomplished.

It is a very nice photo.

And.. but, of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)
