This is a type of holly native to North America and Canada. Unlike the usual red holly we see which is an evergreen this is deciduous and the berries are bright orange. It provides food for songbirds late into autumn and early winter.

"Ilex verticellata" ! I am just showing off now. We have this Winterberry Holly growing in New Zealand as well .
