Even if it's a bad autumn for color, as it is this year, the sumac is always reliable turning all the shades of gold, orange or deep red. This one was on the way to the red stage.
Beautiful autumn color in this image Kathy. We had a severe storm a few days ago and that made all the trees look miserable. Luckily I had taken my photos just before that.

they never made it to red here, but those and the poison Ivy is how i know fall is here with the first to turn color. thats a good shot and representation of them.
