I'm posting this for my husband who had cancer surgery today. He had colon cancer 5 years ago with no return. This is a different type of cancer and was caught in the early stages so we're hoping for the best. We both love pansies and grow them every spring - hopefully next month we'll have pansies on our terrace - today we had 2 inches of snow. This is one of my favorite pansy varieties called "Midnight Glow" and this shot was taken last Saturday.

This is a lovely variety of pansy Kathy - nicely photographed - that pansy appears to be glowing - hoping that you and your husband enjoy those beautiful pansies for many years to come - Great Capture!!!!!! and enough with the snow already.

If botany had a bird of paradise, this flower would be in the running for that position. From this cancer survivor of 12 years, keep the faith, you two. Cancer is still nasty but not always the death sentence it used to be... medical science has marched on. Mine was caught early, before it could spread, and I survived... I'm betting your husband's will, too. You're in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear that Kathy. Hope all goes well for your husband. It should because the cancer has been detected early. A very beautiful pansy this is and a perfect one as the first.
