This is a new type of hellebore for me with the fringy style of petals. It's name is Berry Swirl and I photographed it outdoors on Wednesday when we actually hit 70F. Of course it only lasted a few hours before what the weathercasters call a pneumonia front came through and dropped the temp 30 degrees in 30 minutes! Sunday we may have snow and sleet.

Referring to your narrative, think you're living, to a certain extent, in a 'natural fridge (☺)', Kathy.
If the weather forecast comes true, I sincerely hope that this warm colored and fine image gives you the power to warm your heart.
In my area it's relatively warm now, so both the sunshine and your image are giving me this internal warmth.

Now that is a really pretty hellebore.
I am not a great fan of these flowers even though I grow some white ones, but this lovely Berry Swirl may just convert me !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A lovely flower with nice color tones. 30 deg. down in half an hour is pneumonia case for those who were not dressed warm enough.

It would suck to be an outside plant this year Kathy.
A beautiful shot of a beautiful flower.
