I'm posting this to remind myself of what spring is supposed to look like - I'm looking at fluffy white flakes drifting by my window! Although not born in the Chicago area, I've lived here for 54 years and this is the coldest and latest spring I can ever remember - by mid April our forsythia should have bloomed, the flowering crabtrees should be starting to bloom along with the magnolias and there should be daffodils. There is none of this.

I talked with .Tib (Tina) this morning and she was saying along with Pat how burned out they are with winter and how it comes and goes, etc. I can imagine how frustrating it is. My sister north of Detroit was tell me yesterday about the snow/ice storm much of the Midwest has been having. I sure hope global warming kicks in a little and puts an end to all the misery.

I love this spring posting, not only the tulip, but I love the variety of bloom color in the background. We should get some snow tomorrow, but I think it's not going to be too awful, they say the ground is warm enough around here.. tigs=^..^=

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I know how you feel Kathy. The Cardinals flew into Chicago last night, so maybe they will warm up the city.
Your photo does give us hope.
