Grown year round in tropical climates it's strictly only a summer visitor where I live. I really like the hot pink color of this one and just like poinsettias the flowers are only the little white part - the colorful parts are the bracts surrounding the flower.

Kathy, for me, poinsettias are more appropriate for Christmas, while Bougainvillea flowers are more appropriate for all festive occasions. Therefore I can simply say that your capture is a feast for the eyes, ☺ .
