This was the brightest marigold I have ever seen. True bright red and yellow. I rarely take shots of marigolds but this was an exception. The name French marigold does not refer to the country as much as the style of marigold. There are also calendula style and pot marigolds.

Kathy, the name 'Bolero' is well chosen for this wonderful Marigold, because it has the national colors of Spain, so it isn't a French, but a Spanish marigold, ☺ .
I agree with you about its brightness. Well taken shot with a perfect handling of the for photography difficult colors.

I also agree, it's the brightest ones I've ever seen. Love the way the pedals are outlined in a delicate and small boarder. Gorgeous
