Caught this yesterday - the monarch was attacking the cone on the flower. It seems to be an excellent year for the monarchs - I've seen more than probably the last decade.

Great shot Kathy - always like seeing those majestic monarchs - this one looks to be male - happy to know you've seen more this year - hopefully their numbers indicate steady growth in the years ahead!!!!!!!!!!!
