This is a shrub that blooms in the cooler spring weather - inside the little buds you see are white flowers that will open and last for at least a month or more. The nice part of this particular variety called Forest Flame, is those leaves will turn a brilliant scarlet in the fall. So this is a 3 season plant. The botanical name is Pieris Japonica.

Kathy I see, when I compare the situation in your country, that my country uses a same nickname for another flower.
In your country the Pieris japonica is called 'Lily of the Valley'.
In my country the Convallaria majalis is called 'Lelietje van dalen' (if literally translated: Lily of the valley) as well.
The (nick)name isn't that important however. Only their beauty is what counts, and sure both flowers meet this qualification.

I have one of these in my garden and I love it - so many different looks throughout the year.
I love this take on it Kathy.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
