This is a florist favorite but will grow in the garden also. It has a lovely old-fashioned fragrance - in fact it is an old fashioned flower. In Renaissance England it was called gillyflower. I've always been fond of them and usually see soft colors - this one was a brilliant magenta.

Kathy, these wonderful flowers may resemble the Impatiens wallerina (Double Impatiens).
