Also known as moss roses - flowers that enjoy today's 95F. heat more than I. I've always like mixed moss roses because you never which colors will be blooming each day.
My mother always had moss plants and they were beautiful Kathy. I didn't know their name, just that they were moss. She planted some in a cast iron kettle that reminded me of a witches brew pot. It was a beautiful sight to behold. If they got thick enough, they would choke out the weeds. I liked that about them. Plus they didn't require a lot of TLC. Super shot.
Kathy, I had them in a sunny border in my garden. If they were given some water in time, they would hold out in the heat where other flowers had already succumbed. I think they could last for so long in these conditions because of the succulent-like leaves that provide moisture storage. Your beautiful photo does justice to these wonderful moss roses.
