This shot was taken by a friend of mine - Kim - She runs every morning and she took pictures this morning of the very spectacular sunrise with a little snow still on the ground. This is a park in Buffalo Grove IL.

Kathy, such a wonderful sunrise glow in combination with the partly with snow covered field is extra ordinary. Glad that your friend Kim had an eye for it and has captured this scene so that we can enjoy this wonderful sight as well. My compliments for her!

I grew up in Peoria and dated a woman in Des Plaines. I had friends in Elmhurst and Arlington Heights. I used to hitchhike from Iowa City to the Chicago area every weekend. I have never been to Buffalo Grove. I just checked online. There are no buffalo in Buffalo Grove.
