This is a scanned image of a 35mm photo I took in Hertford N.C. about 6 years ago. I don't know if the scan will do the image any justice, but I wanted to try it out. Thanks to Nathan from Caedes for helping me correct my original scan to make it work!

Wow! I think it's a fantastic image! It's as if they're floating and I love the color! I think it works very well! So glad you shared this one, and kudos to Nathan too! :)

Beautiful shot. The "imperfections" only make it more appealing in my eyes.

Beautiful simplicity...like the muted colour and composition, a little soft on focus imo, but it seems to add rather than detract. Thanks for sharing

A very beautiful and serene image. I too, love the gradient of colour, composition and wonderful reflections. Simple and yet it says so much. Very well done! Into my faves it goes :)

I'd say it turned out quite well. Great framing and nice use of negative forms. Very "Zen" (if I can use such a term) through balance and simplicity of form.

Great image! The silo'd trees and their reflections are beautifully presented. Not a DT, but oh what a photo!

I've tried scanning film photos of mine from years back and, even though my office scanner does an incredible job (even able to scan the texture of paper for artifact reproductions), it still can't get the crispness of the high-rez digital photos we see today. So even though this shot probably wouldn't work for a screen image on a hi-rez screen, it's still a gorgeous photo. I hope you at least had framed studio prints made of it. Seeing it in the voting booth, I didn't rate it as a screen image, or something glitzy that the caedes crowd seems to favor. I rated it strictly from an artistic point-of-view. I gave it a 9 out of 10. All too often, c-index votes are cast without any thought applied. Your talent shows and you should ignore the 76 rating I'm seeing listed here.

This is a fabulous image...just wish it were a little bigger. The new Cannon all in one printers come with a slide and negative scanner that will blow it way up with good results. Just FYI.

I can only imagine how that looked in person when you took the original. I love the shape of the closer tree on the left, very enchanting.
