I agree with you about the glare. Tghe lack of a real darkness makes the image look a little washed out, but I know from experience what trying to remove it does. Apart from that it is a very colourful and dynamic picture.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Personally I think the glare adds to it, being an illustration of what happens when the lights from a large city hit a low atmosphere. I spent several months in San Diego years ago and I now live in an area of about 75,000 people over an area the size of San Diegomuch fewer lights in the same amount of space. One has to experience small town night life to clearly understand how indicative this is of a large city. Your image gets 2 thumbs up from me. -Nik
