A portrait i did of my friend Rose. My props... sunglasses or Red Sox hats. I got lucky. I haven't touched up this photo in any way. I try and let the final shot be the final shot, its very rare that i touch up a photo.

Well I admire you tremendously and I have also always wanted to take and post that perfect untouched photograph. Well done! I think I might have brought her a little bit more in front of the background, to stop the shadow and darken it a bit? Lovely shot though - you'll have to take some more!

Well, this worked out very well in high contrast, the hat is great, and better than the glasses i think, the black is wonderfull strong in this image, and i like the image a lot.
Well done !

I agree. After our conversation I cam to look through your gallery, and I saw this one. I guess you know by now that black and white, however it may have the ability bring out aspects of an image that color cannot, doesn't bring the high "c-index" that bright vivid color does. It's a shame too, because black and white allows us to see things that we can't when the image is rendered in color.

This image is a classic example. Rather than look at her clothes or her skin we find ourselves trying to peer under the cap to see the subject's eyes - the windows to the soul. Your omission did more than any inclusion could have. This is a really good portrait shot, though I think theshrew had a good point about the background. Well done.
