My shot definately breaks a few rules. The horizon is tilted, the framing is poor, it lacks simplicity, and has mixed up lines. I almost feel drunk just looking at it.

Yep, even I see some broken rules, but agree with Pierre, a nice view of the valley waters here and perhaps your 'broken rules' add something to the feel of viewing this...a sense of vertigo or claustrophobia, a very real sensation for some...good idea and Good Luck in the contest.:Pat.

I heard about these photography rules in an earlier post. I've alway thought of myself as a rule follower, but I guess in photography I'm a rebel. I really like the shot. When I look at it, I feel like I could fall right into the picture.
