I loved this rickety old barn...it was on the property of an old old house...but the day was so very sunny and too bright..so my photo didn't looks so great as far as background. So Wilderness_North and I did a collaboration..he added the background..and it sure is much like the sunsets here..so I appreciate his help..One day, HOPEFULLY, I will be able to do most of this myself..But in the meantime I'm sure thankful for the people with knowledge on caedes..Enjoy please!

Hi Verena
very nice....not from this world anymore, allmost something out of a movie.
Gives me a feeling like the end of times.
When this comes from a collaboration between you and Wilderness_North...well you might consider doing this more often.
It worked out great in this shot.

It’s funny that Paul said the end of time because my first impression was a sense of impending danger. Maybe it already happened because that barn looks kind of battered. That’s a seamless edit of the sky, congratulations to both of you.

Wow I agree with them both. This is very nice. And again maybe you two should do this more offten, both of you are so talented.

..another great result of your collaboration...I understand Pauls "out of a movie-feeling" also Robert´s thoughts of impending danger....when you get all these associations, it is proparbly a sign of a good image. This IS a good image - Great work, Verena & Håkan.

The different angles of light source, one from the right onto the barn, the other from the sunset, add a lot of tension, IMO. Smooth collaboration there.

I akshully gave you a 10 on this. It's a very nice piece of manipulation. The saturation and contrast give it a sureal quality.

I probably would have cast just a bit of reddish light on the barn to nail it into the scene a bit better using a gel technique. That's where you create a special color layer, mask it and then adjust the opacity down so it casts a bit of color just where you want it.

Marvellous collaboration...that deteriorating old barn against that blazing sky is just so 'right'...like the end of a story...like the sun setting on a life that has been through so much...well, you know what I mean...it is very telling and striking....great work you two.:Pat.

It's all been said. I could see this on a book or movie cover. I think what I like most about it is that it is simple yet dramatic. The placement of the barn is perfect. Well done you two.

This really does look like it was a single photo with nothing done and nothing added. Wonderful job you two. The sky is very eerie.

Another amazing shot! just about the only thing that creates controversy to my taste, is the old barn and the background. I like that it gives the composition a focal point but I dont like that the barn looks like its not supposed to be there. The tones on the barn are great but they don't match the orange/yellowish sunset/rise. so there you go, over all I can say I like it.

A friend of mine works in a camera store. The other day a very confused looking woman approached the counter and handed my friend a camera. She said "I took pictures, but I forgot to have film in the camera. Can you please get them out of the camera for me?"

Verena, this is my daily comment on one of your posts. I like everything about this. To me it's a story about how this old barn has seen just about everything and then this "out of world" sky gives it one last look. Even barns must die. A really thought provoking photo. Colors are beautiful. Very nice.
