Here is another photo of the new baby horse on our pasture. We don't own this happy mom and her colt...we just lease the space to their owners. But it was such a joy to see this little one running with Mom and it was only about 5 hours old here! I've not been around horses for many years, so this was a truly great experience. I hope you all enjoy it as well.

Another view? Somehow, I missed the first one you posted. I will go mfind it. Loving horses as I do, you strummed my heartstrings with this one. Beautiful little baby. Looks like Mom has plenty of warm milk reday for the little one. Great post.

This is adorable. The baby looks all akward. Brings back memories of when my parents had a country house, and there was a pasture near. We watched over the growth of a colt too. He was always sticking close to his dam. Also, I am thinking how faster things go for animals. Only five hours after the birth, and they are both up and around! This is a lush green landscape. A beautiful capture Verena. :)
