This Yellow Rose is dedicated to all my dear friends on caedes. I will be gone for five days so I can "take care" of my family in Southern Oregon. So since I love yellow roses most of all, I wanted you all to have this one. It was the first rose that bloomed for me last year and when I moved 4 months ago, I brought that rose bush with me, and its growing wonderfully. So I hope soon it will have yet another "first" rose for me! You've all been so supportive of me and I appreciate all your knowledge and kind comments so much. I will see you this next weekend!! Thanx so much for viewing my favorite rose.

Very pretty capture Verena ! I love these old fashioned looking roses & I think it's a real nice touch the way you framed it in green to match the leaves instead of yellow. Everybody else would've framed it to match the rose. Beautifully done !

This photo is soothing and peaceful. I like the little bud peeking out from behind the open rose - like Hope is just around the corner ... as it should be. The soft colors set the quiet mood. Good subject placement and clarity. The borders really suit this photo, tighten it up, and keep the eye moving back towards the flower. All in all, I'd score this one a 10 if I happened upon it in the voting booth (unfortunately, I haven't yet). Lovely work and dedication from an equally lovely artist :o)

I think this is one of the better flower compositions I have seen lately. The yellow in the rose is brilliant and clearly captured. But the background is what really drives this composition. The green pedals are placed perfectly for spot on balance. And the darkness of the rest of the background displays the yellow rose superbly. Well done.

Dear Verena, I'm fairly new to Caedes and not on your friends list but I want to thank you for this beautiful addition to the Caedes library of images. This is a great example of compostion, framing, detail and contrast. It's a 10 all around. Normally I like to see some contrast between the image and the frame but this works perfectly - makes the subject come alive - your star shines! Simply gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
