As you may have heard, near where I live in Oregon we have had some severe flooding in an area at the Coast near the town of Tillamook. It's about 45 minutes from where I live.As I left my house this morning, the storm clouds from all the rain we've had were still hovering bigtime, but a patch of blue sky showed thru and the sun shone across the little valley I live in. So I took this shot and thought you would enjoy all the drama in this photo. The second photo, when I drove homeward will be totally different again. Enjoy!

Great shot! The perspective of the trees from both sides draws your eyes to the blue sky in the middle, the colors are so vivid as well. Job well done!

Hi Verena, this is absolutely brilliantly beautiful, what can I say, it is one of your greatest landscape photos!!! As I have never failed to say previously, that your landscapes are outstanding, remember? The green, blue and brown tones espress their beauty in a blend of harmonious appealing color!! It just takes my breath away, I really mean this Verena, it is lovely, I could sit and ponder over this photo for a very long time, and never tire! The warm glowing sun on the trees, brings out the faint of color in the fading fall of the season! The composition, the clarity, the clean and streamlined treatment of the finished product makes it very special my dear, nice work Verena, Sincerely, Marilyn

I didn't realize you had had storms and flooding out your way. I hope you were spared any grief. However, this scene you took is absolutely stunning, and again points out that there is a silver lining to every cloud...we just have to look for it. All the colors, including the menacing clouds stand out and combine to make this an extra special treat for the eyes. The patch of blue is a sign of hope and I sure hope that it grew and let in all of the healing sunshine you needed. Wonderful post :)PJ

Outstanding photograph Verena! So much drama in this scene with the looming body of clouds, the vibrant greens and golds and the hint of blue sky. That patch of blue and the lines of the plowed field really draw the eye right into the distance. This is a 10 in the VB!

A delightful and welcome break in the seemingly never ending storm. Beautiful they way you captured the illumination on the golden foliage and intensely green fields.

Wow Verena. This showed up in my voting booth and it immediately grabbed my attention.
I guess the only thing wrong with it is that I did not take it. Even so, I can make it my desktop for the day.

Great capture. A mark of Verena. Lots of clouds, color and good composition. Is this a new trademark, the "V" look?
