Hottrockin had given me permission to do a canvas painting of this lovely yellow macro flower of his.He calls his photo posting "The Mark".. And I finally got finished with it. The difference with this painting in compared to my others is that this is the first painting I've ever done using a pallette knife! It was great fun to do that, I did use some brushes also. I hope I did his lovely photo justice. On a photo you can't see the depths and rises the pallette knife makes, but enjoy anyway. And I thank Randy for allowing me to have such fun with this.I hope you'll take a look at his photo and then at the painting, and let me know your thoughts on it.(I really wasn't sure in which gallery to put this.)

I love your handling of this Verena, and really? This is your first pallette knife painting? Amazing, but you are so talented, it really shouldn't surprise me. I'm sure Randy is flattered and proud that you decided to put your deft touch on his already great photo. It's nice to collaborate with people here on Caedes.
