This is the huge bridge that crosses the mighty Columbia River at the Pacific Ocean. This bridge goes from Astoria, Or. over to Washington. I took this photo last year and thought it might be nice to add to our 'new' bridges gallery. Thanx to all for stopping in.

Nikon D80 & 18-135mm lens.
What a nice panoramic shot with great perspective... It is breathtaking Verena. Wish we would have such spectacular bridges here in Warsaw. Struggling to build another two across Vistula river for more than 10 years now. People going mad everyday when they cross the river and have to spend over an hour in a traffic jam.

I remember driving over that bridge with my girlfriend in 1996. We took a trip from Vancouver down the coast to San Fran.
That girlfriend is now my wife of 10 years! Ah the memories.
