I had posted a smililar photo of this cloud mass before, but not this one. I just loved how once in a while the clouds literally "lay" on the mountains and ocean! It's a most awesome feeling to walk from the "unclouded" beach right into the clouded area! It's like getting a massage on your skin! Plus it feels as tho you entered "The Twilight Zone" somehow! Enjoy please!

Great photo Verena and it reminded me of a song that is almost the opposite but means almost the same. Confused yet. Take a listen. Beautiful angle and it does appear to be sunning itself.

Fantastic photo! I know that feeling of walking right into a cloud, wet and refreshing and eerie... This is a special image.

Wow Verena, what a shot! You must have hiked pretty hard to get to this vantage point ;-) It makes me think of Mount Teide in Tenerife, Spain's highest mountain. You travel through the clouds to reach the summit and look down on what they call the 'sea of clouds' from the volcanic crater at the top. You caught your very own sea of clouds here. Very beautiful.

They look like a white fluffy blanket laying over the land, I like how the blue ocean makes such a great contrast with the white clouds!

You must have been up pretty high to get this shot. It's amazing. The color of the water is fabulous, and I love those clouds just hovering over the ocean. Great shot.

Stunning capture Verena! In all my years of living by the ocean I have never seen anything like this. I am so envious that you can walk this beautiful beach into real clouds.

*Checks passport to see if it is current...oops...realizes she does not have a passport...:0(

I love this capture, so well composed, and must add it to my faves. Excellent work my friend!

This is amazing and so interesting. I just love clouds and thier shapes, its pretty much my favorite subject in life and this is so incredibly interesting. Where abouts did you take this as it reminds me a lot of Saunton Sands in Devon, England although i know that it cant be cos there are no mountains there!

Hi Verena...

My oh my...this is incredibly beautiful...very difficult to find the suitable words to describe this photo...and your spactacular capture of it...I suspect it would be difficult for many to decide on a way to photograph this image...photograph it in such a way that would add more quality to the image...

This is a heavenly aerial view...and angling in to include all the elements...repositioning them...and refining the image to gain more interest from the viewer...well...I am not sure it can be done...

Judging from the number of responses on this page...I would suspect that many agree...;o)) You did a fine job...and one that compares to 'Haystack'...my favorite of yours...and then some...

This would be a lovely seen on the cover of any National Geographic magazine...Verena!! Super job...dear...take a bow...This will immediately find it's way to my favorites...and with pleasure!!

By the way Verena...I subscribe to that magazine...and hope to see it there someday!! ;o)

Until next time...
