And here is a HUGE field of Wheat...ready to be baled.Lots of good bread to be made too! The whole countryside around here seems to just be alive with all sorts of bounty. It's a beautiful time of year here in Western Oregon. It's a literal patchwork of all sorts of things..blooberries, raspberries, cherries, grapes, rhubarb, wheat, barley, rye, and it's almost time for corn and blackberries!! Wow! I'm ready and so is my freezer. And me? I'm harvesting all sort of mints in my herb garden. And Italian herbs too. Soon, soon.

Super shot, Verena. I love the field of wheat, and the mountains. I love the fields of green too, what ever grows there. This is one dandy of a picture.

My grandfather used to operate a thrashing machine to harvest the wheat. This grain will be used for a multitude of things. I believe Kansas is full of fields such as this. I like the contrast between the gold and the green. Nice post.
