Here is one of the few tombstones near Bannack in a tiny cemetary. There are a few graves outside of that area, where the "newer" tombstones were placed. If you look hard you can see how young the little child was. To walk thru that little cemetery was very sad. It's located in the middle of a very barren area. I think part of this little marker is gone too. I'll be posting a few more photos. I apologize for the poor quality of these photos, but I suppose we could all 'pretend' they truly are old! Thanx so much for looking tho.

This is a really lovely series. I didn't have to look to hard to see that the poor thing was way to young to die.

I really love this series! It's a great peek at such a sad and desolate place. Wonderful work and sepia tones!

This is a good photo, even with it's quality, in my humble opinion.

Sometimes there are whole stories in cemeteries like this... I hope in her two years on earth this little one was loved and cherished by her family and others... Thanks for posting these images, Ms. V...

I think the quality of the image adds to the old picture feel. A sad image.

That is so sad when they pass at such a young age, it really is a sad location. I'd be just like you feeling everything. This is a beautiful antique looking capture Verena
