This little house, which is kind of up a little 'hill', a bit away from the other house, was known as the Bachelor Quarters! It was officially named "Bachelor Row".I imagine it might be due to those guys being a bit more noisy?! Kinda looks like the house is a bit slanted too! They even got a fence in the deal! It's hard to find info on all the little places in Bannack, but when you visit there, there is a small house with some of the history of that place, and a few brochures, so they give a bit of info. I have some books too, one written by a person who lived there.

We can only guess as to why it was called the bachelor house....
I'm still amazed at the fact that the town is still standing cause here in the netherlands it would long ago been replaced by modern buildings.

Wonderfully composed and presented. I think this is my favorite of these so far. Interesting historical tour. Love the view up the hill/mountain.

I think the fence is for the main house, telling the others to keep out. Of course they might have to fix the gate. Love these shots.
