This is what I know as a "Tulip Tree" Some people think it's a Magnolia, but in the South they were called Tulip Trees. I thought it was so very elegant, with that window behind it.I added what I thought was a matching frame. Please comment if you wish. It's always very much appreciated.

Verena, This is very nicely done. I like the natural framing you used whatever it's called around here it's beautiful.

beautiful capture Verena, lovely colours and I do like the window behind seems almost strange as you would normally be pooking out the window at the tree! Nice one!

In my country they are called both 'tulip tree' and 'magnolia' as well Verena.
Beautiful capture. It's a pity that we can enjoy the blossoms only a very brief period of the year, but with your very fine post we have a good alternative.

It's beautiful no matter what it is called, and your creative talents just adds to it!! As for me, I have never seen one before this, so this is a treat for me, and I usually like to keep treats.

With those windows in the background, this looks like it was taken on a Southern Plantation. Excellent photo of the Tulip trees...something I had never heard. Very nice, Verena.

Very nice capture of this branch, it looks to be loaded with these lovely flowers. Around here they do not last long, so I'm glad you got out there and shot this beauty.
