Daisies and Red Hot Pokers....growing wild. I did a bit of work in Paint Shop give these lovelies a look of being painted. The Pokers are gettin' old, but I still liked the little tufts. Thanx so much for viewing.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
I like the textured effect and the hint of a sunset in the background, looking like layers of colour. It is a shame the RH Pokers are past their prime but they are a wonderful splash of red, and compliment the coolness of the daisies perfectly.

I really like the textures in this one, Verena. The band of golden sky in the background really adds to the shot, too. Red Hot Pokers? That's a new one to me. Very nice work.

Very pretty flowers and great DOF. The background is sweet and blends excellent with the image. I'm just not too crazy about the textured look on this one. I'm sorry and I'm probably crazy....but the colors go together perfectly. Great find and a great presentation.

I would normally second what Stan just said - it's far easier to ruin a nice photo with effects than it is to improve it, but you have used just the right touch and with the effect perfectly suited to the subject. Well done!
