A favorite spot of mine at the Oregon Coast. This is at Tillamook Bay near the tiny fishing town of Garibaldi. It's so odd, that little tree grew right out of that rock, and it's only grown a tiny bit each year, but it's still there! These rocks stand up out of the water about 20 feet. It's a great place to get on a little boat and do some fishing.

I can see why this is one of your favorite spots Verena. It is really beautiful and looks so tranquil. I like the rocks and the little tree and also the soft colors and the beautiful cloudy sky. Very nice work!

Woweeeee! This is a gorgeous shot, Verena. It would be a favorite place of mine too, if I lived out there. Everything in this is just beautiful, from the rocks in the foreground to the mountains in the haze. I love that cloudy sky, too. Very interesting to see trees growing out of the rocks. They grow slow, but at least they are growing. A winning picture, Verena.

Does make one wonder how something like a tree would have anything to cling to, doesn't it? Quite a rocky shore. Nice shot though.

What a cool picture. That tree reminds me of the black hills. Pine trees grow out of rocks with little on visible soil.

Great shot, Verena. Looks like the seagull in the foreground is enjoying the view also. Amazing how tenacious trees can be.
