Just a bit of a break from the Car Rod Run Series, of course it all happened at the Oregon Coast and the Washington Coast. But my favorite spot is always the Manzanita beach, where the infamous Neakhanie Mt. is. This time there was such a strange cloud over the whole mountain. It almost looked like a grey/white rainbow!! It was so pretty. I wanted to share that with you all. Feel free to comment.

Beautiful composition and tones Verena, I love all the curving lines on the right that swoop to come together. Sometimes grey skies can be more evocative than blue can't they?

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

A very dramatic image. I like it very much. Between the mountain and the very moody sky, you have quite the shot here.

Beautiful composition, Verena! I can see why it's one of your favorite spots! That cloud above the mountain is indeed eerie, and I love the mound of foliage in the foreground! I also like the bird upon the driftwood. Excellent work! Thanks so much for sharing :)

this is possibly the coolest shot i have ever seen of clouds- these ones look like they could be the spirit of a tornado trying to eat up that mountain. Great capture!!
