Yes there are still flowers growing here in Oregon! I'm not sure what these are called, maybe a type of Rose of Sharon? I just thought they were so beautiful. They are light, airy and whimsical..they feel almost as tho they are made of silk. Thanx for stopping in.

All I know is that it's a beautiful foofy. I gotta tell you though. It's making me hungry for a fried egg. LOL. I guess I can wait till morning. Nice focus and colors, and a very nice post, Verena.

I agree about the whimsy... they look kinda like little sunny-side-up eggs... they're really sweet.

You are so right Verena these are beautiful flowers, such a pure white and bright yellow. personally, I would have cropped this image more to concentrate on the centre flower, but that's a minor quibble.

Lovely! Fun analogy...fried eggs. Beautiful colors and details. I can see why the frilly blooms and lighting caught your eye. Thank you for sharing them.

Hey Verena!
I was going to post a picture of this very type of flower but decided not to right at the last moment! Your looks much better than mine did! Very nice post!

You know when I viewed the thumbnail I was thinking why is Verena throwing perfectly good fried eggs out? Maybe it's some strange tradition I've never heard of before.;)
Good capture, nice detail and soft colour. Nicely done.
