Please view in largest format. These lovely flowers are called Trillium. They grow here in Oregon and are now on the Endangered Species list. They cannot be picked. They grow in the wild, but these happened to be in someone huge woodsy front yard,they probably were there when they bought the land, so I pulled over with my Cougar and took the photo out of my car window.I wish I had some, they are so very special. Enjoy them please, as there are not many of them left anymore. THey only come in pink or white, and a very few are almost a burgundy colour.

A nice shot of these trillium Verena. Beautiful colours, clarity and composition. A great job. We have them growing down here in the wild; and like yours they are a protected species here as well. I've seen them in the hundreds, if not thousands in cutover sites. We even have a few growing in the woods behind home.

Beautiful trilliums and they are the Provincial flower for Ontario and also the state flower for Ohio. We have lots around here but it's against the law to pick.
