Watching a storm develop from a hilltop. It got pretty dark pretty quick, so I shot this while it was still not quite to that point. The rain came and went, and that's typical of Oregon in the Springtime. But then all the flowers open up! And all the beauty starts. I love this Willamette Valley that I live in. The skies are always filled with drama of one kind or another. I hope you'll enjoy this scene also.

Oooh, love your composition of the scene here, Verena.

Not only have you captured the movement of the incoming storm clouds ... there is a nice sense of movement from the perspective you employed as well. At the ground level. And not too over the top, either.

Invites your viewers in and to look further, in short.

Well done. :o)

And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)

Fantastic dramatic shot, Verena. I like the fact you can look all the way down the road.

I hope your brakes work Verena. Wonderful shot and the composition is spot on. I like how the road lays in this one.

I sure do agree with Les. I get the feeling I am in the car going down that mountain road. What a gorgeous sight to be seeing on the way down, too. That sky is fabulous. Fantastic shot, Verena, and thanks for the ride.

You achieved wonderful depth here, Verena, and I too, am enjoying the perspective, as my eyes follow the steep road down and out of view... then they feast on that magnificent and dramatic sky! I also like the haze or mist that clings to the trees/bushes in the foreground. Excellent capture!
