This is Indian Head Beach at the coastal town of Cannon Beach, Or. It's always so filled with dramatic skies and gorgeous tidewaters. I took the photo above the beach area, there are stairs down to that. I took it a few months ago. But I love it here a lot. There are picnic tables and not so many tourists. All these rock formations are part of the huge Haystack Rock, the monolith. So I hope you'll enjoy this and please comment.

Very well done.
Regards, Cornelius.
PS: the person in the image is very helpful to dertermine the proper scale of this image.

Verena - You have captured a very moody tone in this photograph. The curved coast, points of land, large rocks in the water and large, low clouds make the scene one that is both beautiful and causing one to appreciate the power of nature. Thad

An absolutely fabulous shot, Verena. Like Cornelius said, the person on the beach gives a good sense of scale. The foreground detail, wave action and sky are amazing.

That person looks so small compared to all the logs lying around. I love that dramatic sky and the view of the shore. I can understand why you love it there. Beautiful image, Verena.

Fantastic ... now I'd like to be walking along that shoreline!! Not in the rain though, unless it was warm. When can I come?

What a beautiful place to be! Wonderful soft colors, dramatic sky and amazing strand. As Cornelius said, the person reveals the scale of the scene. Hey! is that the sound of waves I hear and that the smell of ocean?

Gorgeous scene Verena. I wouldn't have realized the scale of this place had I not looked at the women walking down below. Excellent framing, well done V
