Ok, not too bad. I actually cropped a bit off the sides and it looks like the Caedes conversion must have clipped a little bit more, but not too bad overall, I'd say. The original has considerably more space on either side of the flower.
This is stunning with terrific color, clarity and lighting. Truly awesome clarity with the orange and tough of lavender in the center. What a dynamite post. Thanks for sharing this one.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
This is another remarkable photograph. The orange of the petals, with their soft purple beginnings are superb to look upon. However, by making your aperature a little smaller it may have been possible to sharpen the background petals a little, without loseing the advantage of a shallow depth to focus purely on the flower as a whole. Overall a great shot!
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
Thanks to every one who has commented. This one is 1/160sec at f11. I did play with the dof and aperature. I have another photo at 1/50sec at f18 and blades of grass are visible in the background. Personnally, I like the blurred background so went with this one. You've given me an idea to try though.
this is a most gentle serene and yet highly dynamic photo
it fair jumps off the screen at you !
with super detail where its needed
the sharp focus at a 1/3rds position and pointed to by all the petals with the zone of sharpest focus being on that parallel
the colours are astonishing
and you were 100% right to play with dof and isolate that wonderful flower
